We had such an amazing time with Lexie and Cameron on their beautiful June wedding day…
It may have been rainy on and off all day, but nobody let the weather get in the way of a good time and we loved every second of it!
The day started with the girls getting ready at Lexie’s parents house with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. There was so much fun and laughter all morning long and Lexie was such a laid back bride just taking it all in. After getting ready, it was time to move onto St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Massillon, Ohio where the ceremony took place. The bride and groom each wrote each other extremely emotional letters to read just minutes before seeing each other at the alter. They both wrote the sweetest things and it was amazing getting to witness them each reading their letter. The Catholic wedding ceremony was perfection and we loved being back at St. Mary’s again after their restoration last year.
Finally, the day ended with a party at Brookside Farms in Louisville, Ohio. The sun didn’t come out again after morning and we had to work around the rain, but we managed just fine and got some really great portraits anyway! The reception was full of so many unforgettable moments, from hilarious speeches to a packed dance floor that just wouldn’t quit. One of the best parts of the evening may have been when blow up guitars fell from above onto the dance floor for a giant “Living on a Prayer” dance (a tradition in the bride’s family). Trust us, you definitely want to check out the pictures of this (there are plenty below)!
WHAT THE BRIDE HAD TO SAY
“One thing I knew from the beginning of the planning process was that photography was the top priority for me. As soon as I saw the portfolio for Autumn and Jay I knew that their style was exactly what I was looking for. During the engagement shoot, Autumn was able to direct my husband and I in a way that resulted in amazing photos but we never looked forced or unnatural. On the wedding day, both Autumn and Jay did an incredible job making sure that all of my requested shots happened. Even battling with rain clouds that came and went, they timed the photos perfectly so we didn’t have to skip any of the outdoor photos that I really wanted. I even had wedding guests comment on how amazing of a job they were doing on timing! For the ability to have access to all of your photos without having to choose and the expertise of Autumn and Jay, they are worth every penny!” – Lexie
