THE BEST CLEVELAND OUTDOOR WEDDING VENUES MAKE GORGEOUS BACKDROPS FOR WEDDING PICTURES
We LOVE being Cleveland wedding photographers and over the years, we’ve gotten to photograph some really amazing Ohio outdoor wedding venues. Ohio, mostly in the summer and fall, can make such an amazing backdrop for your wedding day. Which is why we’ve put this list together for you.

CLEVELAND BOTANICAL GARDENS
It’s not hard to figure out why the Cleveland Botanical Gardens is one of our favorite wedding locations in all of Cleveland. With its beautiful lush grounds and the variety of picturesque gardens and fountains, it really just makes such a perfect wedding location without being too over the top. Our favorite thing about weddings at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens is that friends and family can explore the grounds and soak up everything the gardens have to offer while the bride and groom are off taking pictures.
ERNST & YOUNG ROOFTOP (EY PENTHOUSE)
The EY Penthouse is one of the most jaw-dropping ceremony locations in Cleveland, hands down. It sits 20 stories up on top of the Ernst & Young building and it’s got a killer view of the water that will leave your guests in awe. If the open sky wasn’t already breathtaking enough, the gorgeous architecture and windows will be sure to seal the deal. My favorite thing about the Ernst & Young Rooftop is that when the bride walks down the aisle, the glass reflects the view behind her. I think it’s the best background a bride could ask for!
CLEVELAND METROPARKS ZOO
When it comes to unique outdoor wedding ceremonies in Cleveland, the Metroparks Zoo may just take the prize. Not only are there so many great hidden photo locations all throughout the zoo, but you’ve also got animals, plants, a carousel, and an aquarium! There’s SO much variety! And the zoo staff will drive you around the best spots for pictures so no spot is out of reach. Our favorite thing about weddings at the Zoo is that you get to have live animals wow your guests during cocktail hour – how cool is that?
STAN HYWET HALL AND GARDENS
Stan Hywet’s provides several acres of gorgeous gardens that look like they came straight out of a magazine, each one with a magic all its own. The options are unlimited and couples can explore every last spot on their wedding day which makes Stan Hywet one of the most versatile outdoor wedding venue locations on our list. Located in Akron, Ohio, Stan Hywet is a dream come true and it’s hard to believe there is such a treasure located right here in Northeast Ohio. Also, they have a dedicated tent for backup in case of inclement weather. Win-win!
